Orientals Abroad

Who are we and what do we do?

As the title of the group indicates, members belong to Asian, as well as the Middle Eastern and North African countries.  However, all members of Benvenuto are heartily welcome to join Orientals Abroad and we are very pleased to have members from other non-Oriental countries.
We organise cultural and social activities to entertain and inform members of the customs, lifestyles and conditions in the various countries represented by our members.  Some of the countries we have learnt about are Japan, Korea, Lebanon, India, China and Tibet.  It goes without saying that our aim is also to foster friendship between our members and to extend a helping hand when ever possible.

Where do we meet and what are our Activities?

We meet at a Hotel conference room
on the third Thursday of every month at 10:00 a.m.
We start the meeting with tea/coffee and brioche,  and then one of our members gives a presentation on her country . The meeting is normally followed by a luncheon at a restaurant featuring the cuisine of the country we just learnt about.  For a list of the current activities, please check the Calendar.
Every month we  also organise unofficially (not included in the Benvenuto calendar), visits to exhibitions, museums, concerts and meet at our members homes.
